I’ve read a poor review of Frieze in the press this year – no big revolutionary, shouty, outrageous, boundary-pushing artworks apparently. But I’m not sure that’s what we all want right now – we’re living in ever more unsettled times and I personally enjoyed the quieter more painterly selection on offer especially at the contemporary fair. As usual both fairs are extensive and it’s impossible to put a proper presentation together of everything I enjoyed. But this little video has some of the main pieces that I photographed before my phone battery ran out (damn you Apple!).
