As I purchased my fourth pair of earrings in as many weeks (at Notting Hill pop up West Eleven), I realised how much I love a good earring. Its the quickest way to brighten up an outfit. I’ve built up quite a collection over the years (although I don’t normally buy four pairs a month!). Earrings don’t need to be expensive, making them a top tip for an outfit update. A drop earring will elongate your neck, especially with hair up. I do love a small subtle, delicate earring too, but for making a statement, these are some of my recent favourites:
Yellow Earrings – J Crew £38 – I wore these out to ParisPhoto recently, they’re brilliant for adding a pop of colour to an outfit and would work both day and night.
Black & Gold Porcupine Earrings – The Collective Boutique £29 – my latest purchase, I absolutely adore these. They’re going to be brilliant with a little black velvet dress for Christmas parties.
Tribal Drop Earrings – Etsy £15 – super versatile, I’ve worn these with silk blouses and jeans.
Green Beaded Chandelier Earrings – very old but some of my favourites- by designer Philippa Kunisch.
I have to be careful that earrings are not too heavy in the ear – it just makes for an uncomfortable evening if they’re pulling – so make sure they’re light. Also, it goes without saying, the cheaper the earring, the cheaper the materials, so don’t wear them too long or your ear piercing will go black!
Below are some of my current favourites for dressing up a Christmas outfit:

J Crew Blue Beaded Tassel Earrings £65
Gucci Drop Earrings £510 (I wish!)
